The quality of the shoe was great, however I had a problem with sizing and fit

Before I get into it, if you're sometimes between sizes, go 1/2 down. Extra wide feet can probably stay true to size, however. Wow, I was skeptical as I had a pair of pure 2 elites's that split on me after a full season of wear and tear. All my issues with that model seemed to have been addressed here! The synthetic tongue, which always took forever to dry, and often got smelly as a result, has been replaced with a breathable knit material. As well, instead of only being attached at the base of the lacing system, (where my pure 2's separated) there is structure and hold throughout. They also updated the heel area, which wasn't a major problem with the pure 2's but the difference in comfort is day and night. All adidas boots should use this moving forward in my opinion. So many times in the past the Copa Pure line has felt like an afterthought in comparison to the f50's and predator silos. Both in terms of advertising and reception from fans. But with a $10 price increase, the culmination of these improvements and attention to detail is a boot that is the perfect marriage of a leather cleat that forms to your foot like a sock. Lastly, the stud pattern. Finally! an updated soleplate that oozes class. I used to own a pair of 11pro's that had a split toe plate that this beckons back to. I loved the dexterity offered by that boot 12+ years ago, I'm looking forward to seeing how this one performs. As well, they have added another stud to the lateral side of the boot, similar to the tiempo legend outsole. I've always preferred this type of stud layout as it significantly reduces stud pressure on the 5th metatarsal. The studs are also mostly conical and least protruding of any of the top end adidas silo's to date, which will work wonders for firmer grass pitches and hard ground. Because of the stud layout you could use these on more modern AG pitches, but I would be wary of how the increased abrasion of the field would wear down the leather, and it will also void your warranty!! Get the mundial teams instead, they get the job done! Nonetheless, these boots nail the intersection of comfort and class. A boot that feels like a sock, but doesn't forget the essential parts of being a football shoe.
