For weeks, I contacted customer service asking for updates. Every representative assured me that my replacement order was already with the shipping department and that I simply needed to wait. At no point was I informed that there was any issue with my exchange or that my replacement was at risk. Today, I discovered through the Adidas app—not through any communication from your company—that my exchange had effectively been canceled and that I would only receive a refund because the item was no longer available. This outcome is unacceptable because I did everything Adidas required. I complied with your process, returned my original item, waited patiently for weeks, and relied on the repeated assurances from your customer service team. Meanwhile, the replacement product sold out. Had I been given accurate information, I could have explored other options before inventory was depleted. Instead, I am now left without the product I originally purchased because of failures entirely outside of my control. To make matters worse, customer service offered nothing more than a coupon. A coupon is not an appropriate resolution when the company failed to fulfill its own exchange process. I did not purchase a discount coupon—I purchased a product, and Adidas failed to deliver it despite my full compliance with your procedures. This situation represents poor communication, poor inventory management, and a complete lack of accountability. It is not the level of service I expect from a global company such as Adidas. As a long-time customer, I find it extremely disappointing that my loyalty appears to have no value when a problem arises. Instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, Adidas has simply refunded my money and left me without the product I wanted after weeks of unnecessary waiting. I am requesting that this case be reviewed by someone with the authority to provide a fair resolution. I do not believe a refund and a generic coupon are an acceptable outcome for a situation caused by Adidas’ own processes.
