Rock plate - not designed for speedy trail running
I've worn Adidas trail-runners for the past 15 years - so, I feel like I come from a place of experience. I'm a 49-year-old male training for my next marathon and run both road and fairly technical trails. I put in about 55-65 miles per week. I bought some Boston 13s at the same time I bought these TTs.
The Boston 13s are lighter, are more comfortable, and maybe even higher quality than these at a lower price. If I could take the Continental soles off of these and slap them onto the bottom of my Boston 13s, I'd be set. In fact, I may use the Boston 13s on trails because I can't wear these for many miles due to the way they fit. And I only have so much budget for shoes every four months.
It seems like the Terrex Agravic TTs are more for people with narrow feet who heel step the majority of the time. So, hikers who like to run back down the trail from the top.
IOW, they're not fast shoes. They lack any sort of rocker effect or slope to the toes. The plate between layers of the sole (as mentioned in the details) is not a rod plate.
They fit long by 1/4 to 1/2 a size on me while still pinching my big toe pretty quickly into my run. If you're used to purchasing the mid-grades in this series, IMO, you may be better off getting 1/2 size smaller in a wide or something if Adidas offers it. As I mentioned, they give me toe blisters like the dickens on the outsides of my big toes on both feet within 10 mile runs - I think mainly due to the way the reinforcements in the toe are designed, but also in part due to the narrowness of the toe box overall.
I've put about 35 miles on them testing them out. At this point, I sort of wish I could return them and upgrade or downgrade. It's probably been just a few miles too many to return them. These just aren't shoes that work well for me. I thought they'd be more between the Terrex Agravic Speed 2 and the Speed Ultra 2 (based mostly on their price point). But, I was sort of wrong.
I may wear them as hikers or donate them somewhere. I think I would have potentially made a better purchase with the Terrex Agravic Speed 2s. On the positive side, I plan to give a raving review about the Boston 13s.

Excellent impact cushioning. 100% heel support
These are extremely comfortable on rough terrain and heavy incline/decline use. The grip feedback is incredible. Down hill heel support holds very well and doesn’t compromise your form. Front arch easily supports proper running and heel striking prevention but the rear cushioning also holds up when it happens. The laces have grips on the and have held well through all long runs. They’re also extremely breathable and dry quickly when wet. They perform relatively well on pavement but I’ve found due to their design they tend to feel slightly rigid when consistently running on pavement so I switch to grass running to ease any discomfort. If you’re taking X country running seriously and don’t want to buy the top tier Terrex these are a comparable and highly valued choice. I will be purchasing another pair soon as I’ve already put over 100 miles on them and I noticed my recovery and foot health has greatly improved
